A Passion for Helping Others Gabe Mendoza joined The X team in late December, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a NASM CPT certification. While he’s relatively new to our community, Gabe has been coaching friends and family since 2020, driven by a deep passion for helping others. "I got into coaching because of my love for connecting with people," Gabe shares. "Health is wealth, and I like to make people feel richer in life."
A Philosophy for Longevity Gabe’s approach to fitness is all about longevity. "I believe in being in the gym for a long time, not just for a 'good' time," he says with a smile. For Gabe, staying functional and healthy over the long haul is the ultimate goal. He’s committed to ensuring that his clients don’t just achieve their fitness goals, but maintain them for life.

Favorite Exercises and Fun Facts One of Gabe’s favorite exercises is the weighted pull-up. "I love the feeling it gives me when I add more and more weight," he says. "It makes me feel powerful." But there’s more to Gabe than just his strength. Did you know he’s borderline obsessed with fruit? Gabe is always on the hunt for new and exotic fruits to try, turning this passion into a fun hobby outside the gym.
Tips for Your Fitness Journey When it comes to starting your fitness journey, Gabe’s advice is simple: celebrate the small wins. "It’s hard to get fit sometimes, so every win, no matter the size, is a big win," he emphasizes. Gabe believes in the power of consistent baby steps over time, a mindset that leads to long-term success.
He also follows a unique "3-second rule" to stay motivated: "No matter what it is, even if it’s something I really dread doing, once I count to 3, I no longer think about the task at hand—I just go ahead and do it."
Inspiration and Motivation Gabe’s biggest motivation is his son. "I strive to show him that anything is possible with the right mindset," he says proudly.
